12.2m (40ft) high-cube shipping container

Description

This is a new build 12.2m (40ft) high cube container, made to the highest industry specification. Externally it runs 12,192mm long by 2438mm wide by 2896mm high, giving 76.2 cubic metres of cube and a payload of 26,620kg. High strength corrosion resistant steel throughout, and it carries a CSC plate so it can be used for coastal and international shipping rather than being limited to the yard.

How it gets used

The extra air vents and the polyurethane coated floor point at what this box is really for: cargo that suffers from condensation and floors that have to be washed out between loads. It carries an IICL5 shipping grade and a food grade internal rating, so it is bought by exporters, food and drink shippers, and anyone moving high-volume low-density freight that fills 76.2 cubic metres before it reaches the weight limit.
