Daikin is one of the three makes you find on the end of a reefer alongside Thermo King and Carrier, and it is the one most often asked for where parts availability matters. The container itself is a standard 40ft shell, so it handles, lifts and ships like any other 40ft.

What it is for

Storing and transporting food that has to stay cold from one end of a journey to the other. Businesses and industrial operations use them for bulk produce, prepared stock and anything that has to be held at a set temperature rather than merely kept out of the sun. At 40ft there is enough floor for a full pallet run, which is where the larger reefers earn their premium over a 20ft unit.
