Description
This 40ft high cube open side container measures 40ft x 8ft x 9ft 6in (H) and opens along its full length rather than only at one end. A supporting post sits at the center of the side opening, so the unit keeps its structural strength while still giving a clear run of access across the whole side.
Where side access pays for itself
Side opening changes how a container gets worked. A forklift can lift any pallet in the run without first pulling out everything in front of it, which suits parts stores, seasonal stock and hire fleets. Contractors take them for tight yards where there is no room to swing end doors wide. Equipment hire firms use them so one machine can come out without shuffling the rest of the load.
