Description
A tunnel container is a standard box with a full set of double cargo doors at each end instead of one. This one-trip 40ft high cube version measures 40ft long x 8ft wide x 9ft 6 high, so you get drive-through access with the extra clearance of a high cube.
Where drive-through access matters
Boiler rooms and plant rooms, where an engineer needs a route past the kit rather than around it. Stores that two crews work from opposite ends. Garages for taller vehicles, diggers, forklifts or go-karts that would otherwise have to be reversed out every single time. Tunnel containers are not in widespread use in the shipping industry, which is why these are only available as a new, factory-built, export-ready unit.
