Description
A 40ft high cube reefer stands 9ft 6in tall externally, roughly a foot more than a standard-height reefer on the same footprint. The built-in refrigeration unit holds anything between -25°C and +25°C, so the same box can run chilled produce one season and hard-frozen stock the next.
Who buys this one
Food distributors take the extra height for tall roll cages and double-stacked pallets. Pharmaceutical, seafood and floriculture operations run them as static cold rooms on a hardstand, wired into mains or a generator. Caterers and processors use them as overflow cold storage through peak weeks. Because the unit is ISO certified it can also go back into the shipping cycle instead of staying parked.
