40FT. REFRIGERATED CONTAINER

Description

A 40-foot refrigerated shipping container with a factory-installed refrigeration unit, sold as a single unit. Between the 40ft exterior shell and the 39ft 5in insulated interior sits the machinery and the insulation, which is why a reefer never gives quite the internal length of a dry van of the same size.

What goes inside

Pharmaceuticals, food and electronics, and anything else that suffers from heat, mold or condensation. A reefer gives both the coldest temperatures and the lowest humidity available in a shipping container, and it is the humidity half that protects packaging, labels and cartons as much as the product itself. Most of the units we sell end up as static cold rooms on a hardstand, with a smaller number going back into transport work.

You will need a power supply arranged before delivery. A reefer that arrives with nowhere to plug in is an insulated box until an electrician gets to it, so it is worth sorting that first.
